As part of our 'Get to know the Greens Team', we are delighted to introduce the newest member of the team, Mrs Miholjac, our Chequers Café Assistant.
Mrs Miholjac joins us from Costa Coffee, and her barista-making skills are off the chart! Check out her interview and pop by Chequers Café to say hello.
How long have you worked at BGS?
I have been here for about four months, although it feels like it's been much longer. The staff and students have welcomed me nicely, and I'm enjoying my work here.
What's your favourite bit about your role and why?
I really enjoy my work. I love coffee, so I'm trying to do my best to make great coffee and other drinks, and to make staff and students happy.
How long have you been a trained barista, and what's your favourite coffee to make?
Since living in the UK, I have more than three years of barista experience, but I have also had experience in my country too, Croatia. I think my favourite coffee to make would be a cappuccino, but I enjoy making all drinks. I've realised that English people like to drink lattes the most.
If you could have a coffee with any historical figure, who would it be and why?
If I got a chance to return back in time and have the opportunity, I would love to have met Queen Elizabeth II. I'd love to make her a nice cappuccino or some English breakfast tea. She was one of the most important people in the world; she seemed caring and kind.
As we've recently celebrated World Book Day, if you could live the life of any fictional character from any book, who would it be and why?
I would probably be Little Red Riding Hood. She's so adorable in her red-coloured cloth and was always trying to help other people and to be useful.
