On Saturday 22nd February some of our Junior School Speech and Drama students were up early to take part in the Milton Keynes Festival of the Arts for Dance, Music and Drama.

Established in 1968 the Festival of the Arts is the largest and longest established annual performance festival in Milton Keynes providing an encouraging platform for amateur performers of all ages. 

Year 3 pupils Florence, Inara and Aashna took part in classes including verse, solo drama and prepared reading.

Sisters Katarina (Year 5) and Elisa (Year 4) enjoyed bringing a short scene adapted from Double Act by Jacqueline Wilson to life and Katarina also shared a poem.

The fabulous five, for whom four were taking part in a festival for the first time, really enjoyed the experience, received positive comments for their performances and due to the festival’s age categories were able to watch work from older students too.
