BGS golf star, Roisin Scanlon (Year 8), is continuing her incredible rise in the women’s game, with her latest win at the Under-18 South East England Schools championship at Leighton Buzzard Golf Club.

Roisin, who at just 12-years old made her professional debut in last year’s Rose Series in St Albans, shot a 1-under par 72 to win this championship by three shots from Buckinghamshire’s Olivia Lee. Despite the wet conditions, her score could not be matched.

Roisin will now go forward to represent the South East Region in the National Championships at Belton Park GC, Lincs at the end of June, in her quest for an international selection. She has also qualified as County Schools Champion to play in the National U16 Schools Championship, due to be played at Walsall GC in late July. Many congratulations, Roisin!
