Year 4 have been thinking about the life of an explorer through their Unit of Enquiry Into the Unknown.
In their artworkthe girls have been using their colour mixing skills to combine colours, tones and tints in order to enhance portraits of themselves as explorers.
It was particularly poignant this week as they reflected on the sad death of Henry Worsley who was attempting to follow in the footsteps of Ernest Shackleton and cross the Antarctic via the South Pole.
Through the knowledge and insight the girls have gained through this topic, they were able to appreciate the hazards Worsley faced as he crossed the unforgiving landscape.
