Year 11 student Emilia Hoar has been chosen as BGS’ Bedford Youth Parliament representative, after an impressive 70% of Senior School girls turned out to vote.

The Bedford Youth Parliament (BYP) is made up of 15 members from nine schools in the Bedford area, with one person elected to represent the BYP in the UK Youth Parliament.

Receiving 200 votes, a 45% majority, Emilia will attend regular Youth Parliament meetings, there will be residential opportunities and she hopes to feedback to her peers, potentially in future assemblies.
