Junior School Music

We are thrilled to announce that following an audition on Sunday, Evelyn Piper (Year 6) has successfully gained a place with the National Youth Harp Orchestra of Great Britain.

This is the only orchestra of its type in the UK and approximately 40 young harpists travel from all over the UK to enjoy the unique experience that it offers. The orchestra performs concerts in prestigious venues such as the Menuhin Hall (part of the Yehudi Menuhin School) as well as going on tour overseas in the summer holidays.

Evelyn will be starting in the junior (training) section of the orchestra, with a view to moving up to the senior (main orchestra) section in the not too distant future. Luisa-Maria Cordell, founder and conductor of the orchestra, said that she was "impressed with [Evelyn's] secure and confident playing".

Further information about the orchestra can be found here.
