Mr Castro (Head of Swimming)

On Monday, the BGS U11 and U13 Swimming team travelled to Worcester to compete in the Bromsgrove Invitational Swimming Relays.

The swimmers competed against 17 other schools from around the country. BGS managed to field two teams in each of the age groups.

The U11A team finished fourth in their Medley final and the B team finished fifth in their final. In the freestyle events, the A team finished first and the B team finished in sixth.

In the U13 Freestyle events the A team was just pipped to the win by less than half a second to finish second. The B team finished third.  

The last events were the U13 Medley, where both A and B team made the A final. The A team achieved a very impressive win and the B finished in eighth place.

U13 Team - Isabel Jackson, Eleni Zorn, Lucy Young, Arabella Ward, Ariadna Whittle-Queral, Emily Pinkney, Gabriela Woodroffe-Gomez and Florence Doxford.

U11 team - Nwando Ifeacho, Charlotte Brakenbury, Emma Adsley, Roisin Scanlon, Charlotte Proctor, Amelie Peacock, Poppy Whitford, Milla Sherriff, Jeanie Morris and Charlie Duce.
