Mrs Whomsley (Head of Year 5)
Year 5 enjoyed a wonderful afternoon celebrating their hard work with friends and family on Wednesday afternoon, sharing their class Greek Museums. The girls chose areas to research in depth such as Theatre; Gods and Goddesses and Death and Burial, and worked in small groups to create an exhibition. They then presented their findings alongside artefacts that they had created as part of their inquiry homework.
The girls enjoyed welcoming girls from the Junior and Senior School and presented their exhibits confidently and creatively. The girls were particularly excited to share their work with the A-Level Classics students who visited. Later in the afternoon, family members joined the girls to tour the museums too.
The feedback from visiting teachers and girls about the quality of their work was overwhelmingly positive. The girls have worked incredibly hard to plan, research and present their ideas and it was a fantastic event to reflect on their efforts and success.
