Sixth Form Higher Education

On Wednesday morning, BGS welcomed representatives from the International University Tour to explore the various study options at various International universities.

Sixth Form students met and engaged with representatives from Bishop's University (Quebec, Canada), ESCP Europe Business School (campuses across Europe), Glion & Les Roches, (Switzerland and Spain), Hult International Business School (UK and USA), IE University (Madrid, Spain), Kettering University (Michigan, USA), Michigan State University, (USA), University of Rhode Island (USA), Savannah College of Art & Design (Georgia, USA), Syracuse University (New York, USA) and Temple University (Philadelphia, USA).

In the 2018 application cycle, 5% of independent school leavers chose a non-UK university to continue their studies at, showing a growing trend. This visit gave students a wonderful opportunity to learn about the advantages of studying abroad, exposing themselves to different ideas and ways of thinking.

Gabriela Montojo Sancho from IE University Madrid, Segovia and Spain was impressed by BGS students, she said: “The girls were not just walking around, they had direct and interesting questions to ask, for example if I studied Psychology in Spain how would it differ to an English degree? They were extremely engaging.”
