With this year’s UCAS application process now completed, the Upper Sixth are receiving a variety of offers from their chosen universities.
90% of the current Upper Sixth cohort have applied to university this year (with an additional seven taking gap years). The Bridge Careers Service has also supported 10 Alumnae through their UCAS applications following gap years. Our girls continue to choose wide-ranging courses from Criminology to Conservation, Engineering to Environmental Sciences and all manner of subjects in between.
Mrs Whitlock, Head of Careers and Mrs Allen, Careers Administrator, said: “We have been impressed with how efficiently the girls managed their UCAS application, with all of them being submitted ahead of the deadlines. Personal Statements showcased the extensive variety of passions, interests, activities and unique experiences that the students involve themselves in. The university offers are being received on a daily basis and the girls can now put this phase behind them and concentrate on their mock exams.”
“We will continue to support the girls during the remainder of the school year and will be available on results day to guide girls through the acceptance process. There will also be a chance for the Lower Sixth students to attend a Higher Education Event, UCAS exhibition and we will be holding our own UCAS day in the summer term. Providing the girls with a wealth of information in the Lower Sixth allows them to better prepare for their UCAS journey in the Upper Sixth. Ensuring the girls are well informed, enables them to confidently make choices about their futures.”
