After finishing 2019 on a high, being voted as Junior Sports Personality of the Year at the Bedford Sports Awards in December, talented alpine skier Holly Tutt (Year 8) has continued her fine form at the beginning of 2020.
Holly raced at the Ambition Championships (3rd - 5th January) in Hinterreit, Austria against a strong international field. She placed 3rd in the U14 Slalom and 5th in the U14 Giant Slalom.
She then raced in her first ever Super G races at the Team Evolution (7th - 8th January) Speed Races in Reiteralm, Austria. These were her first ever Super G races. In the Super Combined race she placed 2nd.
These are huge achievements on the slopes, as Holly is competing against girls not only a year older, but who have had a whole extra year of training. This is particularly impressive in the U14 category, where the 2007 girls have only just started the adult level slalom gates.
