Equestrians qualify for Nationals

The talented BGS equestrian teams took home a handful of well-deserved County Champion Show Jumping titles at the weekend from the National Schools Equestrian Association - County Qualifiers.

Held at Bury Farm, Leighton Buzzard, BGS equestrians from Years 6 to Sixth Form competed against a huge turnout of schools from Beds, Herts, Bucks & Northants.

Many congratulations to the following teams who claimed the Bedfordshire County Champion titles: Issy (Year 8) and Lucy Perry (Year 7), Holly Maudlin (Year 7) and Jess Yeoman (Year 7) in the 70cm class. Molly Barker (Year 11), Imi Bradbury (Year 9) and Holly Maudlin (Year 7) in the 90cm class.

In the Individual events, the following equestrians became Bedfordshire County Champions: Jess White (Year 10) 80cm, Holly Maudlin (Year 7) 70cm & 90cm & Jessica Falle (Upper Sixth) 110cm.

Our County Champions go on to compete in the prestigious National County Championship held at Hartpury College in Hampshire during the Easter holidays.
