Mr Gardner (Senior Deputy Head)

Years 7, 8 and 9 returned to school this week to participate in sports and wellbeing activities at Cople Fields. The girls were full of excitement as they gathered to meet with their friends and tutors to gain some valuable face-to-face time with one another before the end of the term. The PE staff and members of the GLG were on hand each day to lead the sports sessions. They setup a fantastic game of ‘football rounders’ which enabled the girls to play together in a group, whilst maintaining the appropriate social distance – pure genius!

Mrs Hoar was one of the tutors who attended with her Year 7 form group and shared her experiences of the day:

“Such a lovely and special morning spent at Cople Fields with the Year 7 forms. The rain held off and each class enjoyed an exciting game of football rounders. It was wonderful to observe the girls having so much fun and their laughter was infectious. The morning was finished with a picnic, where the girls were able to have a catch up, share stories and join in with a hilarious ‘Cha Cha Slide’ dance! I can’t wait to see 7CCH again in September.”

At the end of the session, the girls were left with a fantastic memory to take away with them for the summer break ahead, and we look forward to welcoming them back in September.
