Mrs Schofield (Head of Year 4)
On Monday, the Year 4 classrooms were buzzing with excitement as the girls brought in their Active Inquiry projects. These home projects have been inspired by their PYP inquiry work, looking at how past civilisations were organised, and at how cultures have changed over time.
The girls demonstrated they are able to investigate an aspect of life in the past and used their communications skills to share their knowledge with their classes through a range of mediums creating some fantastic models, news reports, fact files and much more! These projects help to develop self-management and organisation skills as the girls plan and create their final pieces.
Rosanna Melvill had created a wonderful news report about the Celts with her sister in Year 6, and her Daddy said, “It was fun because you got to work with your family and put your ideas together.”
The girls have certainly enjoyed sharing their knowledge and celebrating each other’s fantastic work, together.
