Over the bank holiday weekend our talented equestrian team travelled to The All England Show Ground, Hickstead to compete in the 70cm Jumping with Style final at the NSEA Championships. It was the first time that team members Sophia Osborne (Year 10), Harriet Gates (Year 10), Izzy Perry (Year 9) and Jessica Yeoman (Year 8) had competed on such a big stage.

The equestrian team performed extremely well under pressure, demonstrating resilience and excellent team spirit and they were rewarded with 5th place. Our highest placed individual was Sophia Osborne (10th) with a double clear in a fast time.

The same team also competed in the 80cm Show jumping against 110 other individuals. Again, their calm and consistent approach led to confident performances and a very creditable 7th place for the team.

The school team is open to all riders that enjoy competing, at all levels. Riders must have access to a pony and have transport available to events. The school takes part in show jumping, dressage and arena eventing classes across the south east region. Interested? Please contact the PE department for details of this parent-led activity.
