In what has been an incredibly different start to school life at BGS, the Year 3 girls were very excited with the invitation from Bedford Prep School to participate in a joint fixture of rounders and cricket last Friday afternoon.

After carefully studying the weather with trepidation in the week leading up to it and a few last-minute scares, we were beyond delighted to be welcomed at the gates on De Parys Avenue!

It was a quick turnaround before splitting into teams which rotated around the activities. The girls were able to share their cricket and rounders skills with their friends from Bedford Prep and with everyone in great spirits, great weather and great company the fixture couldn’t have resulted in anything other than a great success! We look forward to plenty more joint activities, when ‘normality’ allows us.

Thank you to Bedford Prep for their kindness in hosting us and to the girls for their impeccable behaviour and ‘have-a-go’ attitude. We are proud of you all.
