Following her recent international team debut where she had a 100% win record, Roisin Scanlon’s (Year 9) stock continues to rise with a superb performance at the English Women's County Finals held at Denham GC (17th to 19th September).
Representing Buckinghamshire, Roisin competed against Surrey, Somerset, Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, and Hertfordshire. The counties played in two matches per day, which consisted of two foursomes and three singles matches.
Roisin lost her opening singles match by one hole against Yorkshire but won all of her remaining three matches against Hertfordshire, Somerset, and Lincolnshire. Buckinghamshire finished tied in 3rd place in match points and Roisin was so delighted to be able to contribute three out of four points. Many congratulations, Roisin!
