Senior School Charity

Inspirational student, Tania Chatterjee (Year 10) is raising awareness of the Little Princess Trust charity by having her hair locks lopped off and raising important funds in the process.

The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs free of charge to children and young adults up to the age of 24, who have sadly lost their own hair due to cancer treatment and other illnesses. Tania hopes she will inspire others to make the same gesture to help sick children feel better about how they look when they lose their hair from illness.

We spoke to Tania about her campaign, she said: ‘I am shaving my head for The Little Princess Trust and raising money to support the charity. I have always wanted to support a cancer charity due to the impact cancer has had on my family.  As you can imagine, losing a full head of hair to cancer/chemotherapy is quite a big thing for a young child. The Trust provides free real-hair wigs for children with cancer or any other condition to help restore their confidence and identity. In addition, they fund research into paediatric cancers.”
