The Summer Term of track and field athletics continues to produce fantastic results.

At the end of last term (Wednesday 25th May) the Years 9 and 10 athletes produced magnificent performances in tricky wet conditions at the Bedford International Athletics Stadium.

17 talented BGS athletes were ready to tackle an array of track and field events ranging from long and high jump, shot, javelin to sprint and middle-distance events.

Both the Junior and Inter girls’ teams were crowned District Champions overall and the athletes took home an incredible 17 medals across both teams including two relay wins! We are also proud to announce that 12 athletes have been selected to represent North Bedfordshire at the County Track and Field on Wednesday 15t June.

The students competed excellently all day and should be proud of how they conducted themselves on and off the field.
