We are so proud of inspirational student Tania Chatterjee (Year 10), who recently shaved her head for charity.
Tania is raising awareness of the Little Princess Trust charity and decided to have her hair locks lopped off and raise important funds in the process.
The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs free of charge to children and young adults up to the age of 24, who have sadly lost their own hair due to cancer treatment and other illnesses. Tania hopes she will inspire others to make the same gesture to help sick children feel better about how they look when they lose their hair from illness.
We spoke to Tania about her campaign, she said: “I shaved my head on Sunday 3rd July for the Little Princess Trust, a paediatric cancer charity. I have always wanted to support a cancer charity due to the impact cancer has had on my family. As you can imagine, losing a full head of hair to cancer/chemotherapy is quite a big thing for a young child. It's very fulfilling to believe that I will make a small contribution to a young girl's journey to restoring their confidence. I am still raising funds and looking for support for my campaign.”
You can still donate to Tania’s great cause here.
