On Thursday 7th July, our Years 3 and 4 girls walked to Bedford Preparatory School to join the boys for an afternoon of cricket and rounders.

After mixing the girls and boys to create six different teams, the fun began! Despite the heat, each game was fiercely fought, and it was great to see the batting and fielding skills the girls have been working on in Games come to fruition. The final games were played with renewed energy after a break for ice-lollies, and even some of the teachers could be seen swinging a cricket bat.

A spokesperson from both schools led the thank yous and three cheers for their opponents before saying goodbye. Liliana (4S) said: “It was fun as I got to bond with the boys,” and Sophia in 4AB said, “It was nice seeing old friends again.”
