On Monday 1st August, 59 super excited Year 7 students, accompanied by five members of staff embarked on a four-night, five-day adventure to Rockley Point in Dorset.
Based in beautiful Poole Harbour, Europe's largest natural harbour, the centre uses some of the UK's most idyllic sailing waters. The multi-activity adventure develops knowledge, understanding, resilience, teamwork and a sense of pride in undertaking new challenges.
Read student reflections from the team bonding residential below:
“I enjoyed Rockley very much, it was a great time to bond with my friends. We had lots of fun trying all of the amazing activities such as the zip lining and the paddle boarding, which I personally enjoyed the most.”
“I LOVED our day out at the water park where we had much fun on the inflatables on the lake where we jumped and flew around the obstacles. We also participated in a very enjoyable mud run where we all got ‘stuck in’ no pun intended!”
“We were very passionate about all of the activities and the food was delicious. We enjoyed EVERY part of the trip from the bus drive to the tents. The instructors were very kind and knowledgeable about their activities.”
“This escape to the outdoors was a great opportunity for everyone to make new friends and try new things, for example most people had never done a mud run before, and found it very fascinating.”
