Many congratulations to Miss Huckle (Head of Netball) who has re-signed for Wasps Netball.
The talented Goal Keeper will be representing the team for a seventh consecutive season, and is looking ahead to another thrilling campaign.
Miss Huckle said: "I am really excited to be back playing my seventh season with Wasps, in my 13th Vitality Netball Superleague season overall. I am incredibly lucky to be able to play at such a high level whilst working as Head of Netball, so I thank BGS for all their ongoing support. I look forward to seeing some friendly faces at the games this year, the Year 5s and 6s we took last year to a game were an absolute hit and made their debut on Sky Sports!"
Mrs Mason-McLeod (Director of Sport) reflected on this achievement: “As a PE department, we are so fortunate to have a Netball Superleague player amongst us. The expertise this brings to the other staff in the department and the knowledge that is then passed onto the students is not only current but also technical and exciting. Miss Huckle still somehow manages to juggle this high-profile role alongside her teaching and we would like to take this opportunity to wish her every success in what is her 7th year at Wasps.”
Miss Huckle’s accolades include four Superleague titles 2015-2018 (last two with Wasps), three Senior England Caps and a gold medal in Netball Europe 2017.
An incredible role model to our aspiring netballers, we wish Miss Huckle all the best in the 2023 season.
