During Thursday lunchtime, the Dining Hall was transformed into Mr McGregor's Garden for the day to celebrate World Book Day.

The food on the counters was themed around the mischievous Peter Rabbit. Here are two of our favourite recipes from the day - a beautifully warming and tasty Vegan Hot Pot and a really fun dessert for you to have a go at home. 

Chocolate Plant Pots

This is a really fun looking dessert, it's also great to do if you have some leftover chocolate cake...although this isn't something that happens in my house. The beauty of this dessert is you can make it as easy or as technical as you wish, you can buy premade components or make them. View the full recipe here. 

Vegan Hot Pot

A hearty and comforting dinner, this hotpot is perfect to serve to family and friends. Time-saving ingredients like tinned lentils or even vegan frozen sausages make this an easy thrown together supper. View the recipe here.
