We are thrilled to announce that Lower Sixth IB student, Ella Allen, has gained a place at a prestigious legal workshop at Corpus Christi College, Oxford.
Taking place on Monday 13th to Tuesday 14th March, the Law Residential 2023 is a two day interactive workshop for Lower Sixth students interested in Law. Ella will participate in workshops delivered by Oxford academics, tour Corpus Christi, and a place at the Law Faculty Taster Day. There will also be the opportunity for Ella and other attendees to spend free time in Oxford. Student ambassadors from Corpus Christi College studying Law will be on hand throughout the residential to help and give an insight into university life.
Talking about her recent experience, Ella reflected: “Studying law has been my goal for many years and Oxford has always been my dream university so I was ecstatic to be able to get a place on the course. I really hope the course gives me the opportunity to experience what it would be like to study law and develop my knowledge of the subject as a whole as well as talk to current students and tutors.”
Ella’s Philosophy teacher, Mrs Greenwood, said: “It has been Ella’s ambition to practise Law throughout much of her time at BGS, and I am delighted she has the opportunity to learn more about what it means to study Law at Oxford through working with academics and undergraduate students. I am sure Ella will feel further inspired by learning more about the wealth of opportunities a career in Law has to offer.”
