We were so thrilled to welcome Onatti Productions who performed their latest French play called La Maison Hantée. Their super interactive performance gave our students from Years 8 to 11 the fantastic opportunity to practise their language skills, whilst enjoying improvised ‘haunted comedy’.
Zoé and Antoine, lost and getting wet in the storm, enter a house which they find and seems to be unoccupied. With a visit from the police, an escaped prisoner, a ghost and BGS students Isabella and Manpriya called to the stage to lend a hand, their antics kept us laughing as they worked out where the noises were coming from, who exactly was in the house, and they even apprehended the escaped criminal.
A special mention to Isabella and Manpriya who performed confidently and expressed a real talent for French acting!
Lennita Pitt (Year 10) said: “The play was far from ennuyeux. It kept us laughing from start to end, with the actors elaborate and exaggerated acting combined with their interactions with the audience. Très drôle!
Juliette Dalziel (Year 8) added: “I think that it was very entertaining and enjoyable. I understood it all which was great, the acting was superb, I loved the story line.”
Komal Dayal (Year 8) reflected: “I thought that it was really good. It was dramatic and imaginative. I didn’t understand what they were saying sometimes, but I knew what they were trying to say about it.”
