The start of the Bank Holiday weekend saw equestrian rider Larissa Brown (Year 8) head to the prestigious All England Hickstead Showground near Brighton for the National Schools Equestrian Association Championships (27th May).
Young riders from across the country descended on Hickstead, competing in junior, senior, and Pony Club team and individual categories. Proudly representing BGS, Larissa and her pony, Ellie, shone in their show jumping rounds, placing 4th and 5th in the 80 cm and 90cm qualifiers, respectively. This qualified Larissa for the Addington Championships, which take place in Autumn.
Despite encountering a setback during the National 80cm Championship the following day, Larissa and Ellie's journey to the pinnacle of equestrian excellence was marked by their remarkable achievement as Bedfordshire County Champions.
Congratulations, Larissa! Your journey to the Nationals serves as a testament to your extraordinary talent and dedication.
