Talented alpine skier Holly Tutt (Upper Sixth), continues to excel on the slopes as a member of the Alpine Performance Racing Team and has been shortlisted for potential selection by Team GB.
Before the season began, Holly was named on the shortlist to represent Team GB at the European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) in Bakuriani, Georgia, taking place in February 2025. Her selection will depend on achieving a FIS seed point score of 90 or lower in slalom and giant slalom events by mid-January.
In November, Holly received news that the Ladies Ski Club (LSC) would again support her this season with an athlete award, alongside providing Diston cut-proof leggings designed to protect against serious injuries caused by ski edges.
At the end of November, Holly travelled to the Alpine Performance Racing team base in Valdidentro, Italy, to begin her competitive season. In early December, she participated in slalom and giant slalom races in Santa Caterina, Italy, achieving a personal best in slalom and strong performances in giant slalom, competing against large international fields.
The FIS team then moved on to Pass Thurn, Austria, where Holly delivered an impressive second run in the slalom, securing a significant personal best of 100 FIS points and placing 20th. She followed this with two more races in Reiteralm, Austria, achieving scores of 101 and 105 FIS points, placing 16th and 19th, respectively. This weekend, she returns to Italy for two scheduled giant slalom events.
Holly will enjoy a short break at home over Christmas before heading back to Italy to continue her season.
We are incredibly proud of Holly's achievements and the dedication she shows to her sport and her studies. The PE Department and Sixth Form have been instrumental in supporting Holly, helping her balance her studies and skiing commitments.
