Congratulations to Nightingale who were crowned the 2018 Junior School Sports Day champions at the Bedford International Athletic Stadium on Wednesday 20th June.

On a very hot summer's day at Barkers Lane, the atmosphere in the stadium was loud and electric with each pupil wearing their vibrant house t-shirt. The six houses were competing for the coveted Appleton Overall Sports Day Winners’ Cup.

Years 3-6 took part in a whole host of track and field events in front of fellow pupils, parents and staff with the afternoon beginning with the ball throw and long jump. The 60m and 75m sprints and egg and spoon races followed, with the relays bringing Sports Day to a close.

The final placings were as follows:

1st – Nightingale (694 points)
2nd – Chanel (680 points)
3rd  - Franklin (629 points)
4th  - Hepburn (601 points)
5th – Parks (589 points)
6th – Austen (581 points)
