Our ever-popular Lunchbox Lectures returned on Tuesday 10th September, kicking off with an insightful presentation about high-end degree apprenticeships.

The programme sees a number of visiting speakers, ranging from alumnae to business professionals, passing on their pearls of wisdom to Years 9 to Sixth Form students during a weekly lunchtime session.

Hollie Sturgess, who is an Educational Team Leader at Work Pays, presented the interactive session. Holly spoke about the opportunities, progression and benefits of doing a higher or degree apprenticeship.

Melissa Noble (Lower Sixth) said: “It’s fair to say I didn’t know much about degree apprenticeships. This Lunchbox Lecture was very useful and has made me consider it as an alternative to going to university. At this stage, I am not considering it as a firm option. However the session has opened my eyes to do more research.”
