Mrs Greig (Mathematics Teacher)
A new House competition, The Cube, was launched last week on Thursday 5th December. Based on the ITV television show, the competition had seven challenges that contestants had to go up against. Some were met with great success but others proved almost impossible!
One challenge called Direction, saw competitors walking blindfolded in a straight line. If they stepped outside of the lines, they lost the challenge. Another challenge, Multisphere, had competitors tipping a bucket full of balls upside down so that they dispersed all over The Cube. Then, they had 20 seconds to collect them all back in the bucket.
Nearly 100 students came to compete, in addition to some staff members. The overall winners, from House Franklin, were Hattie Jones, Thooba Rayes, Sophie Schreiner and Sabira Egan. The Sixth Form students competed as a group and managed to win a total of 19 challenges. As a result, they were awarded a coveted trophy each. Well done, girls!
