Our Years 3 and 4 girls are preparing themselves for the forthcoming Harpur Trust Rockout 2020 competition by regular practice of their tables through the engaging Times Tables Rock Stars (TTRS) app.
For four days (3rd – 6th February) only, the girls will be competing online against Bedford School and Bedford Modern School for the coveted Times Tables Rock Out crown.
Mrs Copp, who is the Deputy Head (Junior School) and Maths Coordinator, said: “Developing automaticity by practising daily allows for girls to have knowledge of tables at their fingertips. This benefits the girls in many other areas of their learning including understanding a variety of mathematical concepts, mental fluency and increased confidence with problem solving.
“Individuals with the highest scores will also be recognised in the competition so there is everything to play for. We wish all the Years 3 and 4 girls all the best as they practise over the next couple of weeks.”
