On Saturday morning, the Years 5 and 6 girls attended hockey training. It was a perfect morning for it and over 80 girls took part. Year 5 were up first and the session was focused on tackling and in particular block tackling. They then transferred those skills into game play, gaining extra goals for outstanding tackles.

After a short break, the Year 6 girls arrived for their session. The girls rotated around three stations, which concentrated on passing the ball around with three touch conditioned games and 5 v 3, and a station that focused on individual skills and goal scoring.

Overall, it was a lovely morning of hockey; the girls all worked really hard and made excellent progress.

The girls will be continuing to hone their hockey skills tomorrow at Gordon Fields (Bedford School Astro).
