Sixth Form

Before we wave goodbye to them, our Upper Sixth A Level students have been taking part over this week in a Uni Life Prep and Activity Days session, organised by The Bridge Careers Service, to prepare them for the next chapter in their lives.

The week began with a thoroughly enjoyable day of fun activities at Cople Fields – some with water pistols - enabling the students and Sixth Form teachers to let off steam and enjoy the sunny weather!

Throughout the rest of the week the students attended a number of sessions, many led by members of our alumnae community, designed to help them think ahead to the future and to lay some good foundations. We were delighted to welcome to the following alumnae, all experts in their fields, who delivered the following presentations: Emilina Lionetti (DAHS 2012) – Sexual Health & Introduction to Services and Healthy Relationships & Consent; Emma Maslin (née Ritchie, BHS 1999) – Good Financial Habits, Budgeting Skills & Helpful Apps; Rebecca Hutchings (BGS 2015) – CV Writing & Interview Skills and Hannah Leggott (BHS 1999) focused on Mental Health & Wellbeing.

The students also received presentations on building your professional brand on LinkedIn, Coaching, HR in Employment and attended a Self-Defence Workshop.

The week concluded with a competitive scavenger hunt around the school grounds.

We wish this incredible year groups all the very best for the future: we look forward to hearing their news in the years ahead and to welcoming
