This week we have had an enjoyable week hosting our much loved and eagerly awaited Scholastics Travelling Books Fair.

The pop-up bookshop provides the girls with the opportunity to visit our in-house collection of new and award-winning titles, gaining an understanding of what’s popular in the world of junior fiction, evaluating book jacket designs, marketing tools and the vast assortment of writing styles.

We would like to thank the girls and you, their wonderful parents, for supporting this year’s sale. All money raised creates school rewards that can be exchanged for library books. This ensures that the library continues to be a place of inspiration, joy and knowledge. The heart of the school.

Miss Kidd (Junior School Senior Library Assistant) commented: “This has been my first year hosting the book fair. The girls have been so excited and have loved visiting the sale. I can’t wait for next year.”

The end of the sale is always a bitter-sweet moment. Although it is a busy occasion we will certainly miss the fantastic chatter from the girls, including: “I smell books!” “I love the bookfair!” and “I want to buy all the books.”
