Our Junior and Senior School Eco Reps met at the start of term to create an action plan for the Autumn term. Together, they looked at areas they wanted to focus on and promote in the school community, with the Junior School Reps choosing to start with reminding pupils of the importance of recycling.
On Monday, they led a Junior School Assembly, which included facts about litter and recycling from their research, as well as reminders for responsible littering, including providing a weekly litter pick rota for each class to take its turn to look after our school gardens. As an added incentive, they have created a competition to reward the class who collects the most litter!
The assembly coincided with Recycle Week and our Eco Reps asked all pupils to take individual action and be responsible both at school and home by taking action to make sure as much of their litter is recycled.
