On Friday 24th November, Sixth Form GLG Junior School Captain, Amy Sturt and her team of Junior School prefects organised a special Movie Night for Years 5 and 6. The aim of the evening, aside from having fun, was to raise awareness for the new lunch time football club that the Sixth Formers are starting with the support of some PTA funds, and also to raise some money for our school charities, United World Schools and FACES.
The girls were able to vote for the movie they wanted to watch and it was lovely to start some early Christmas spirit with their choice of The Grinch Who Stole Christmas.
As the sun went down and the sky became dark, the girls dressed in onesies and comfies then made their way over to the The Hub, which had been set up with relaxing chairs, bean bags and balloons for the occasion. Pick and Mix sweets, squash and hot chocolate were all part of the experience while the girls snuggled down for the movie.
Reflecting on the evening, Nancy, Coco and Jaya, all in 6I said: “Movie Night was great fun. We loved the sweets and just relaxing and watching the movie with our friends!”
Junior School Captain, Amy Sturt said: “The Movie Night was great fun for everyone and got us all into the Christmas spirit by watching How The Grinch Stole Christmas. The glow sticks and hot chocolate were definitely highlights of the evening, especially being topped off with pick and mix bags!”
Don’t worry Year 3 and 4, plans are in place for a special movie night for you too!
