Emmy and Tilly from Year 6 led a remarkable initiative on Friday 28th June by running a Birthmark Awareness Day, following their inspiring assembly the week before!
They painted red hearts on hands, a symbol of birthmark awareness, and handed out hair ribbons and bookmarks. Their efforts aimed to educate and foster understanding within our school community, highlighting the importance of embracing our unique features.
Emmy and Tilly said: “We really enjoyed organising this event. We thought it was a fun way to raise awareness but also promote people being kind to one another. Thank you to our friends for helping us – whether that was taking photos or helping with the painting and hair ribbons. There were lots of people queuing up and we wouldn’t have been able to do it without them!”
