Mrs Jhall (Senior LRC Assistant)
The Junior School LRC has been a hive of activity this week, kicking off with Black History Month on Monday, which is an annual commemoration of the history, achievements and contributions of black people across the globe.
The girls have been challenging themselves with a Black History Month competition, finding out what happened to Rosa Parks on the 1st December 1955 and why she started The Montgomery Bus Boycott. The girls have also been collaborating with one another during lunchtimes, working out answers to the Rosa Parks word search.
On Thursday, it was a double whammy! The girls celebrates National Poetry Day and World Animal Day. With both themes in mind, we ran an animal poetry and creative drawing competition. We have been extremely impressed by everyone’s creativity and open-mindedness during every task.
