Mrs Woolley (Biology Teacher)
The Year 6 scientists have embarked upon a brand new holistic science course this year and have begun the term studying a forensics module.
The module brings together exciting elements of Biology, Chemistry and Physics and gives it some real world context, allowing fantastic open-minded thinking and problem solving. This week the girls have been extracting kiwi DNA and have investigated the culprit of a crime by comparing blood types.
The girls also learnt about occupations related to Forensic Science and Crime Scene Investigation; how these techniques relate and integrate into everyday life.
