We are delighted to announce that talented harpist Evelyn Piper (Year 6), has won a place with the coveted National Children's Orchestras of Great Britain (NCO). Evelyn will be part of the under 11’s orchestra following an audition in October 2018.

This follows on from Evelyn's recent success in gaining a place with the National Youth Harp Orchestra of Great Britain (NYHO), read more here.

Evelyn said: “I am very excited about NCO. I have never played in a full size orchestra before so it will be good to see what it is like. The NYHO has been hard work but lots of fun and I am really looking forward to going on tour to Sweden in the summer."

Every autumn, the NCO auditions over a thousand 7-14 year olds and identifies 600 young musicians to form 11 orchestras: five age-banded national symphony orchestras and six symphonic mixed-age regional orchestras. The NCO provides a world-class foundation in orchestral performance and musicianship to young musicians living in the UK aged 7-14 years.

Further information about the NCO can be found here.
