Mrs Howlett (Deputy Head of PE)

On Monday, 12 of our girls from Years 3 and 4 competed in a friendly tennis competition against boys and girls from Pilgrims School.

A total of 29 matches were played at BGS and it was an extremely close fought competition. The competition format was the first player to reach 10 points in each match. However, many matches reached a sudden death point at 9-9. The final score was 15 matches – 14 matches in BGS favour. This is the first year that BGS have won the title.

The match was followed by a very sociable joint lunch in the Dining Hall where the food quickly became the main focus as they enjoyed a well-deserved spaghetti bolognese.

Many of the Pilgrims Year 2 girls will be joining us in September and we look forward to seeing them in the BGS colours next year.
