Mrs Martin (Head of Year 3)

The Year 3 girls were treated to an immersion of Aboriginal Culture yesterday when Chris Wholeland, the ‘Didgeridoo Man’ visited. They were able to learn about the past through Dreamtime stories and were taught how to play the Digeridoo, to add effects to his, and their own, storytelling. The girls learnt about the origins of Aboriginal tribes and finished the afternoon earth painting.

This was a fantastic way for the girls to discover the social, ethnic, cultural and religious diversity of the Aboriginal society, linking tightly to our Unit of Enquiry, The £10 Ticket and it was lovely to observe such vivacious enjoyment and engagement.
