On Wednesday, Year 5 arrived at the National Space Centre full of questions they hoped to have answered. Having begun our, Written in the Stars Unit of Enquiry only two weeks earlier the girls were quick to recognise the iconic Soyuz capsule in the entrance.

Tim Peake’s experience on the International Space Centre came to life as the girls explored the interactive galleries and came face to face with genuine space suits. In the UK’s largest planetarium, the girls had the opportunity to find out about the challenges faced by astronauts. As everyone left the centre after a memorable day there were definitely a few budding astronauts ready to make the ultimate trip!
