Mrs Whomsley (Head of Year 5)

Year 5 had an ‘out of this world’ experience on Friday 17th September when they spent time in a visiting inflatable planetarium. Each class spent time inside the planetarium to discover more about the universe and space exploration. It was an exciting opportunity to develop the girls’ questions and further their knowledge about their first Unit of Inquiry.

Evie, 5W said: “I really enjoyed it because it was 3D and it was all around you. The images were amazing – it actually felt like planets were coming towards you and could fall on you!”

Mimi, 5PW said: “I loved going inside the planetarium and having the 3D experience. It made me think about how vast space is!”

Anna and Liv, 5VF said: “We really enjoyed the planetarium, and learning so much more about space. It was a really big surprise!”

Isabella, 5F said: “It was a good experience because we learnt about space and the orbits in a really fun way! We learnt about the planets and how the solar system works.”
