Mr Mason-McLeod (Head of Hockey)

The Year 6 hockey team really exceeded themselves in their Regional round of the U11 hockey IAPS tournament. They competed in six games just in their group, with the top two going through to the Cup semi-finals and a chance to go through to the IAPS National Final at Millfield School.

Their first game was against Wellingborough and resulted in a 0-0 draw. The other results were a 2-0 win against Beachborough, 0-0 draw against The Old Hall, 0-1 defeat against The Blue Coat School, 1-0 win against Laxton and a 2-0-win against Kingshott Prep. We finished second in our group, which was amazing, and we then had to play Warwick Prep in the semi-final.     

Unfortunately, we lost 1-0 in a very close game, dashing our hopes of going to the IAPS National Finals. The Year 6s were fantastic over the day and the school should be proud of their efforts.
