The Junior School Leadership Group (JSLG) were excited to launch their own lunchtime games this week as part of our focus on responsibility and organisation.

After identifying that there was a need for more structured play at lunchtimes within Years 3 and 4, the girls put their heads together to agree on a series of different games and activities that could be run across the week. They ranged from skipping to detective work to more active games such as 45 and in, meaning that they should appeal to a wider audience. Posters were created to advertise the events, materials and equipment gathered and games practised before launching the real thing this week.

In starting these games, girls have had to use and apply the school values. They had to be bold, in both their choices and in encouraging people to attend. Imaginative, in the types of games they were introducing based on the equipment they had available and finally reflective, when thinking about accessibility and inclusivity.

We are so proud of the skills and attributes they have shown in this process and look forward to reflecting with them on what went well and what we could improve next time.
