Year 6 are delighted to share that their IB PYP Exhibition was a resounding success! The exhibition marks the end of the girls Junior School journey and is an opportunity to celebrate all they have learned. The evening was a testament to the hard work, dedication and passion of our girls as they shared their in-depth projects with their families and the school community.
The year group tackled a wide range of critical global issues, demonstrating their commitment to making a difference. Global issues covered included Ocean Pollution, Antibiotic Resistance, Deforestation, Gender Equality, LGBTQ+ Rights, World Hunger, Child Labour, Fast Fashion and Overfishing. Each girl passionately presented their research and insights, explaining why these issues matter to them personally and globally.
Visitors to the Exhibition had the unique opportunity to engage directly with each group, asking questions and exploring the depth of their understanding. This interactive element not only showcased the girls' knowledge but also highlighted their ability to communicate complex ideas confidently and effectively.
A highlight of the evening was the display of pupil-initiated actions that stemmed from their projects. Year 6 didn’t just learn about these important issues—they took steps to address them. From organising awareness campaigns to initiating school-wide food bank collection programmes, their actions demonstrated a genuine commitment to positive change.
The exhibition was a proud moment for our school community, celebrating the girls' hard work and their journey of inquiry, reflection, and action. We are incredibly proud of Year 6 and grateful for the support of their families and mentors who helped make this event such a success!
