This week, the Junior School pupils have been celebrating the Chinese New Year – Year of the Pig! According to the Chinese Zodiac Cycle, pigs have beautiful personalities and are blessed with good fortune in life.

The girls enjoyed many activities including a Chinese Zodiac word scramble competition, colouring bookmarks and listened to The Story of Nian, a fierce and dangerous monster who came out of the ocean on the eve of Chinese New Year, to destroy houses, crops and food.

On Thursday, excited muggles and witches filled the Junior School Library and joined in with the magical crafts and quizzes for Harry Potter Night. Activities included getting lost in the Triwizard Tournament Maze to answering questions on how much you are a Harry Potter fan competition.
