Miss Dawson (Biology Teacher)

During the Summer Term, Year 6 Science have been investigating Biomechanics. The budding scientists have spent the last few weeks looking at bones, muscles and joints, and how the different structures enable us to move, protect our vital organs and carry out reflex actions, such as breathing.

This week we brought this knowledge together by making a working model of a hand using different materials to represent the relevant structures. This activity required a lot of patience and perseverance but 6F worked incredibly hard to produce some fantastic models.
